Earthpharm Technologies — Preclinical oral therapeutics for diabetic neuropathy

Earthpharm Technologies is a preclinical-stage TechBio company based in Bengaluru, India, engineering disease-modifying oral therapeutics for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). The programme is angel-funded and entering the in-vivo validation phase.

Our approach engages three regulatory nodes simultaneously — SIRT1, Nrf2 and AMPK — via a standardised clinical botanical matrix delivered through a proprietary sub-100nm nanocarrier system. In-silico thermodynamic screens report a lowest binding affinity of −10.4 kcal mol⁻¹. In-vitro work has demonstrated zero cytotoxicity and active quenching of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under high-glucose oxidative stress.

The commercialisation strategy runs on two parallel regulatory tracks: the CDSCO Phytopharmaceutical pathway for the Indian market, and the FDA 505(b)(2) pathway for a global out-licensing window.

Earthpharm operates as a resident bio-incubatee at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bangalore Life Science Cluster — a Department of Biotechnology initiative, Government of India. The company is a member of the K-SAP BIO 50 2026 cohort of the Karnataka Startup Advancement Programme, and maintains a research affiliation with the Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSRTI) under the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

Where the nerve goes dark,
we bring it back.

An oral, disease-modifying therapeutic for diabetic neuropathy, the condition that develops in one of every two people living with diabetes, and drives more amputations than any other non-traumatic cause worldwide.

We are engineering disease-modifying
oral therapeutics for diabetic neuropathy.

Diabetic neuropathy progresses because of an oxidative cascade no single-molecule drug interrupts at its source. Our standardised clinical botanical matrix engages three regulatory nodes simultaneously — SIRT1, Nrf2 and AMPK — and is delivered through a proprietary sub-100nm nanocarrier system that crosses to the affected tissue.

The Unmet Need

The world’s largest population of chronic neuropathic pain
has no disease-modifying therapy.

Move your cursor across the field. Each clinical fact is silent until you attend to it — the same gesture our therapeutic asks of the disease itself.

How patients describe it

burning.stabbing.tingling.numbness.allodynia.weakness.
Standard of Care Pregabalin · Gabapentin · Duloxetine · Tricyclics
Real-world outcomes ≤ 50% pain reduction  ·  Sedation  ·  Dependence  ·  Underdiagnosed  ·  Undertreated

Sources — IDF Diabetes Atlas, 11th edition (2024)  ·  NeuPSIG / IASP guidelines on neuropathic pain pharmacotherapy

Existing first-line treatments — pregabalin, gabapentin, duloxetine, tricyclic antidepressants — suppress symptoms without modifying the underlying oxidative cascade. Even with a “good” outcome, 30–50% pain reduction is the ceiling. The disease itself continues.

Earthpharm is engineering oral therapeutics designed to interrupt the upstream mechanism — not the downstream signal.
