Earthpharm NPDE
The Natural Product
Discovery Engine.
A botanical source can show an effect without showing which molecule is responsible.
That is a chemistry problem, and it is the one NPDE is being built to close.
Six stages
Inventory, then structure, then biology, then the bench.
-
Chemical inventory
Mass spectrometry of the source, to list what is there.
-
Structure elucidation
Identify each compound's structure.
-
Target and pathway prediction
Predict which targets and pathways each compound acts on (pharmacodynamics).
-
Developability, corrected
Predict absorption and safety (pharmacokinetics), with models corrected for natural-product chemistry.
-
Indication-specific ranking
Rank candidates against the biology of the disease.
-
Bench confirmation
Test the top candidates in the lab, and feed every result back into the ranking.
What is built, and what is being built
- Built
- The workflow, and the multi-target panel across eight upstream targets. It produced the target map behind EP-001.
- In progress
- The compound inventory, the natural-product correction layer, and the scoring model trained on our own bench results.
A workflow that runs is not the same as a model that has learned, and we will not describe one as the other.
A prediction is a hypothesis
It is not evidence of binding, and it is not evidence of efficacy.
Every candidate NPDE ranks goes to the bench first, and we report which predictions held and which did not.
Binding profiles, scoring methodology and per-target mechanistic detail are available under NDA.
Ownership
The measured natural-product dataset NPDE is calibrated on is generated on Earthpharm material, at Earthpharm’s cost, and is owned by Earthpharm Technologies Private Limited.
Identities are coded pending patent filings. Available under NDA.
